Winter Blues

Hat | Primark
Top & Skirt | H&M
Boots | Unif

This weekend's weather has officially been miserable, wet and just generally crap! It can be so easy to get into a routine of wearing jeans, boots and jumpers when the weather is constantly like this; don't get me wrong it is extremely comfortable and looks nice, but can be a bit repetitive and boring after a while.

So I have been trying to jazz up my every day outfits and found this long maxi skirt a winner for replacing my trusty skinny jeans! It obviously isn't as warm as jeans, but is a great alternative when going shopping indoors or out for lunch. Teamed with a sparkly high neck crop top and my trusty platform boots and i'm good to go.

With the weather turning and already having suffered from a nasty cold, I have noticed my skin isn't looking too great lately. I love a good highlighter and felt this is what my skin needed to bring it back to life! (As well as a face mask from Lush) So after rummaging through my make-up box for some inspiration I came across my Benefit Rockateur blush powder. I haven't used it in a while so thought i'd give it a whirl! I'm so glad I did as I forgot how great this highlighter powder is. Just one sweep over each cheek is all that's required to get an instant natural glow.

Coachella Dreaming

Hat | Boohoo
Top | Asos
Trousers | New Look
Bag | H&M
Necklaces | Blackmoon Shop
Left Hand Rings | Primark & Norbu
Right Hand Rings | Primarks & Blackmoon Shop

I don't know about everyone else but seeing all the lovely pictures from Coachella last weekend has got me dreaming of holidays and festivals! I've acquired some amazing jewellery in the last couple of weeks which goes perfectly with all my summer outfits.

Blackmoon shop have kindly sent me some amazing jewellery, including all the necklaces i'm wearing in this post. If you're looking for bohemian/grungy jewellery then Blackmoon Shop is the place to look! I've layered my necklaces and jewellery up to really get that festival/boho vibe.

Now let's talk about my amazing trousers. They are the comfiest things in the world! At first i wasn't sure i would be able to pull off the wide palazzo trouser look, as i feel it can make you look dumpy if you are short like myself. However, worn with a fitted crop top to balance the loose fit trousers out has surprised me, and i feel like this is a perfect outfit for my holidays, with the added bonus of it being super comfy. I'm definitely going to invest in a few pairs of these!

Last but not least, i have been thinking about trying burgundy eye shadow for quite a while after seeing lots of amazing pins on Pinterest. I'm not the most adventurous person when it comes to eye shadows, however i'm a pro at winged eyeliner! With my eye shadow i normally stick to browns, and i'm definitely no pro when it comes to blending. However with this eye shadow i literally just swept the one colour over my eyelids and that was it; so much easier than i thought! As my eye shadow was quite dark i wore Limecrime's Cashmere on my lips, my favourite nudey lipstick at the moment.

Bohemian Vibes

Dress | Missguided
Shoes | Garage Shoes

    Necklaces | H&M

 Left | Rings | Primark & Norbu

Right | Rings | Blackmoon Shop & Topshop

Do I dare say that summer is officially here in the UK? A bold statement but I think it's safe to say the weather is looking pretty sweet for the foreseeable future! So as the weather was so gorgeous this Easter bank holiday I slapped some tan on and got my pins out in this beauty of a dress; yes it isn't the most summery of colours but the tassels and suede material made me feel like a bohemian princess! The tassel details are right up my street and is going to be a perfect outfit for my jollys in 5 weeks time too.

I wore it with my chunky white heels and dark red lipstick to give it my staple grungy look, along with stacks of silver rings of course. One item that i intend to add to this outfit though is this amazing little vintage style bag from Asos; this is going to be a perfect accessory for my holiday wardrobe too!

January Pinspiration

Here are some photos that have inspired me this last month...

I am still loving grey/silver hair, but have been informed it's pretty much impossible for me to go this colour! So I am sticking to my classic red hair, oh well I can a girl can keep pining...

As someone who isn't the best at eye makeup, I feel that even I would be able pull off the burgundy eyeshadow as there's not much blending or shading to do! I love how different it is from typical eyeshadow colours, I can't wait to give it a whirl.

As summer is fast approaching and with my first holiday booked I can't help but start looking at potential holiday clothes. The cream lace playsuit is dreamy and would be a perfect holiday outfit! It is very daring but beautiful; the cut out back is especially amazing.

Buy of the Month: Over the Knee Boots

Top & Skirt | Topshop
Boots | River Island

After a few weeks of trying to get hold of these AMAZING over the knee boots, i struck lucky when i got hold of the last pair in my size last week. I don't know what it is, but when i want something and it sells out, it makes me want it even more!

There are plenty of over the knee boots knocking about on the high street at the moment, but what i love about these ones from River Island is the chunky sole and the soft velvet material. It makes them ever so versatile, as the low heel means i can wear them in the day casually, but because they are velvet i can also dress them up as i have done in my pictures.

I can't wait to wear this outfit over Christmas as it's so festive and sparkly; the boots are the perfect touch for a semi-dressy evening out. Throw on my black fur coat and a feather handbag and i'm sorted! Bring on Christmas :)

November Wintery Wish List

Top to bottom, left to right:
                                                              Dress - Topshop
Shoes - River Island
Choker - Regal Rose
 Feather cape - Regal Rose
Coat - River Island
Bag - Topshop

Sparkles, feathers, metallic, velvet, leather, jewels, wool, sequins...a few reasons why I love the winter season! I can't get enough of all the different textures this season brings and how much fun it is to put together a winter wardrobe.

Metallic sparkles in emerald green, deep burgundy, gunmetal grey and luxurious aubergines are the colours that have caught my eye this season. I love love LOVE the River Island heels above, the subtle shimmer and cut out detailing make it my party shoe of the season. Teamed with the metallic pyramid Topshop bag, which is so simple yet the shape is so fun, takes any outfit from meh to magnificent!

I am also not disappointed by the newest long awaited collection by Regal Rose; it is as grungy yet glamorous as ever and I literally want everything. The statement feather cape has to be the winner for me however, just throw it over a black dress and voila! A one of a kind fabulous outfit that will be sure to turn heads.

November O.O.T.D

I have to say winter is my favourite fashion season of the year. So i was rather happy when the weather took a winterly turn this last week or so! Thick wooly knits are everywhere and i can't get enough of them (i've already bought 3) but my favourite winter outfit so far this month involves the comfiest, snuggliest, warmest, thickest, wooliest jumper EVER. I literally haven't stopped wearing it since i got it...

Jumper - Missguided
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Unif
Hat - Boohoo
Necklace - Topshop
Rings - H&M, Regal Rose, Topshop

I wore this knit on Bonfire night and it was fab! I felt toasty warm and stylish at the same time, which i think is sometimes hard to achieve. I've been wearing it with my new Unif Choke boots to add a bit of grunge to my outfit. If i had to design a boot these literally would be it! They took a while to wear in (as my work colleagues know all about!) but we got there eventually and now they are actually quite comfy. I do love a good black ankle boot or two!

November Pinspiration

Here's my fav pins that sum up what fashion I'm loving this month....

Since Kylie Jenner added grey tones to her hair I have to say I'm slightly obsessed; it looks insanely good! Would love to give it a go myself but I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to colouring my hair (I think my mum would disapprove slightly too!) I am still loving a good ol' half up half down top knot though; so quick and easy to do but looks so so good. Boys with top knots however, can't say I'm feeling it I'm afraid...

I am loving full on, sparkly in your face, 3D glitter lips though! I have bought a kit from a brand called Belissimo so I can create this look at Xmas, I'm just waiting for the right occasion to bring the full on bling out. Belissimo are currently stocked in Topshop and have loadssss of different colours! I have Crimson already and intend on buying black next.

My favourite colour this season (apart from black of course) has to be auburgine and rich deep purple; I even plan on buying towels this colour for our new bathroom! Auburgine furs and velvet textures will look so luxurious and glam for the winter season, worn with lots of silver gothic jewellery and black lace will create the ultimate party look. I think this colour also looks great on nails and lips; I love matching my lipstick to my outfit and accessories!

Seeing Double

Two- Piece | Love Too True
                                          Shoes & Sunglasses | Topshop
                                                 Backpack | Primark
                                          Choker & Earrings | Nemesia
Rings | Regal Rose, Topshop, H&M

So I am absolutely in love with my houndstooth two-piece made by the girls at Love Too True! After struggling to find this creation in any stores or online anywhere, I approached Gemma and Laura behind the clothing company Love Too True and challenged them to make this imaginary outfit I had created in my head. So they only went and did it and made it absolutely perfect for me! These girls are truly talented and have some fabulous pieces they have just released for S/S14. I highly recommend you check them out. http://www.lovetootrue.co.uk/

These girls aren't the only local talent however; Nemesia is a brand new online jewellery store based in Sheffield, specialising in gothic chokers and moonstone rings which is right up my street. How cute is the daisy choker I'm wearing?! Fans of the 90's grunge trend should definitely have a nosey and everything is at affordable prices. Win win.  https://nemesiajewellery.bigcartel.com

My camera was out of charge hence the iPhone pictures, apologies for the bad quality!

Happy Monday everyone :)

I Was Just Totally Clueless

Tartan Two-Piece - Love Too True
Boots - Office
Necklaces - eBay/Etsy
Rings - Shop Dixi/H&M/Topshop
Metal Hair Cuff - H&M
Nail Polish - Topshop

As a mahoosive fan of the classic 90's chick flick "Clueless" I was more than excited when the girls at Love Too True sent me this amazing Clueless inspired hand made tartan two-piece, I am so in love with it!

I wore it in London last week and received so many compliments. I believe there is nothing on the high street quite like it, which is why people took such an interest! I wore it with black knee high socks true Clueless style, and grunged it up with buckled ankle boots, dark lipstick, lots of jewellery and my trusty leather jacket.

The founders of Love Too True Laura and Gemma, started their own clothing range when they realised there wasn't many jobs around once they left uni. Taking inspiration from famous fashion trends throughout the 90's such as Clueless, Madonna, grunge, tartan and velvet, the girls behind Love Too True have created some truely unique and one off designs. As well as striving to be a unique clothing brand, they also believe that fashion should be accessible to every girl, which is why their clothing is priced realistically.

Their A/W range will be launching in the next few weeks so make sure you have a nosey! I've already got my eye on this gorgeous black fur handbag...
