Last Night's Outfit

Top - Ark
Skirt - Topshop
Shoes - Ebay
Bag - Zara
Necklace - Rock n Rose
Earrings - Topshop
Rings - H&M
Nail Polish - W3

Just a quick post with really bad pictures showing you my outfit i wore last night! I didn't have time to take proper photos (as usual) but i've had a bit of a shopping splurge recently and i really love my new purchases.

I never wear anything as revealing or tight on my top half like this crop top. However, i fell in love with the colour and the spikes, and i was pleasantly surprised at how well it fit as i normally struggle with tops that have fitted bras in. To balance out how revealing the top half was i bought a drop hem skirt which covered my legs more but still looked dressy.

Also i am pretty proud of my eye make-up as i struggle so much with eyeshadow and blending. I am good at eyeliner but that's about it! So last night i attempted full on smoky eyes and was quite happy with how it turned out for once!

Lastly, i have made a promise to myself to use my camera more and take better quality pictures. I am just extremely lazy and tend to rush everything! But i want to improve the quality of my posts so from now on i am going to practice my photography skills.

Happy Sunday :)

Mini Splurge

 Tassle top - Bank
Leggings - Primark
Sunglasses - Primark

I have been looking at galaxy print leggings for a while now and was contemplating buying some from Ebay for about £8. However, i popped into Primark on my dinner one day looking for a bowler hat and ended up with two pairs of sunglasses and some leggings instead! I have to say i am really impressed with Primark at the moment and am especially happy with the galaxy print leggings for just £6; i love a good bargain!

I have also been after a tassle crop top for a while and just so happened to spot one as i walked past Bank which is somewhere i would normally never shop! It was £16 i think, which i didn't really want to spend on a crop top BUT i was struggling to find one that i liked.

As for the sunglasses, you can't go wrong with a pair of mirrored aviators! And i've just discovered that feline shaped sunglasses actually suit me so couldn't resist the leopard print pair too, and for £2 each it won't matter if i don't actually ever wear them ha. Not that i exactly need two pair of sunglasses at the moment with this weather...

Have a nice weekend everyone :)

Rock n Rose

New jewellery always makes my day, and i couldn't be happier with the latest pieces i've acquired. Both the necklace and head chain are from Rock N Rose; a vintage inspired jewellery website. I have noticed the inverted cross necklace on quite a lot of blogs and i have had my eye on it a while now!

I intend on wearing the head chain to York races on Saturday instead of a head piece or fascinator. I have never in my life been to the races and i really struggle not to dress grungy or gothic! I have got a really lady like outfit, but i just couldn't resist adding a bit of goth to my outfit with the head chain (i'm really tempted to wear dark lipstick too but we'll see). I'll be doing an outfit post on what i wear to the races over the weekend!

I am so in love with both my purchases from Rock N Rose and definitely will be buying more jewellery from them in the future. The packaging was mega cute too!

Outfit Post

Crop Top - Topshop
Skirt - H&M
Shoes - Ebay
Bag - Topshop
Cuff Bracelet - Regal Rose
Necklace - Urban Outfitters

Here is what i wore to go out in Monday night to Corporation (a club in Sheffield). I bought the top as a last minute panic buy as it was an unplanned night out but i think it worked out well! I love the hippy tie dye style at the moment and can see my self wearing this top for festivals this summer.

I probably looked too dressy for the place we went to as it is quite grungy and studenty; but i love getting dressed up too much and didn't want to waste the opportunity seen as i don't get out as often as i'd like to these days!

City Travels: Cambridge

I went to Cambridgeshire at the weekend to visit my boyfriend, and usually most times i go down we visit the city of Cambridge. I have a been quite a few times now, and just wanted to share some pictures so you can see why i love it so much!

The city has your usual highstreet haunts such as Topshop, New Look, John Lewis etc, but the whole city is built around the old universities and colleges of Cambridge which are seriously like walking around Hogwarts! As well as cobbled streets, a huge market and old buildings, there is also the river that runs through the city where you can go punting and get to see the sights of the city from the river.

I have yet to do this, so it is definitely on my to do list this summer! Next time i go down i shall take pictures of the grounds of the universities and colleges too, as they are so historic and look just like Hogwarts.

I hope everyone has had a nice weekend!

90's Revival: The Backpack

Clueless: Cher's silver backpack wouldn't look out of place in Topshop right now!

Backpack - Topshop
Mint Green Top - Topshop
Jeans - Topshop
Loafers - Topshop
Blazer - Topshop
Necklace - Urban Outfitters
Sunglasses - Looky Looky man in Ibiza
Rings - H&M/Topshop

If you grew up in the 90's then you must have seen the movie Clueless, if you haven't then i suggest you watch it as it is amazing! The words i would use to describe the fashion in the movie now would be "interesting" and "OTT". However, it is safe to say a 90's revival has hit the catwalks and the highstreet this year. One of the key fashion pieces that featured in Clueless in 1995 that has made its way to 2012, is the backpack!

The backpack i fell in love with from Topshop is my style for sure; leather, simple shape and versatile. I shouldn't have really bought it as i am meant to be saving (i see it as an investment!) but with it being an off white colour i know i will wear it everyday with everything, and i really think it will be so handy for V Festival.

I have already worn it everyday since purchasing it, and can even fit my travel size magazines in it, score! I love how fashion always comes back around when you least expect it, which is why i try to hold on to things for as long as possible. (Usually until my wardrobe doors won't close anymore).

What do you think of the backpack?

Any comments are hugely appreciated!
